Glory Jane: The Rainbow Cake (with Recipe)





My Very 1st time rainbow cake..not tough but leceh la sebab detailing.
in the end?!
satisfaction!
this one is different from Italian Rainbow cake.
sebabnya yang ni resepinya mudah cuma leceh,tersangat leceh dan teliti.(no wonder people sell this one quite   expensive!)
yang italian rainnbow cake plak sebab ade almond paste. (phobia nak try since so many hideous result has been heard before form the others when experimental with almond paste, almond powder and so on)

btw,aku amik order jugak kalau ade sape2 nak order cake ni dari aku!
otherwise,I am sharing the good and simple recipe with you guys.

Bahan-bahan ( Satu Kek Bulat )

  • 2 cawan Tepung naik sendiri (self-rising flour)
  • 1 1/2 cawan gula pasir dikisar halus
  • 5 biji telur ayam (gred B)
  • 250gm butter
  • *550gm buttercream readymade (beli kat kedai jual bahan buat kek) /I omit this one.
  • Pewarna (kuning,biru,hijau,ungu,merah,oren)
  • 2 sudu kecil esen vanilla
  • 1/2 cawan susu pekat + air, sukatan air tak kisah byk mana sbb untuk kurgkan kepekatan susu (untuk moist & lembutkan kek)
  • Sprinkle Star/Beads sebagai hiasan pada cream kek *omit this one also

Cara-cara

  1. Pukul butter dengan gula yang telah dikisar halus selama 15 minit sehingga kembang.
  2. Masukkan telur sebiji demi sebiji ke dalam adunan yang sedang dipukul tadi.
  3. Masukkan esen vanilla. Dan diikuti dengan tepung naik sendiri dan pukul lagi hingga adunan sekata. Masukkan juga susu + air.
  4.  Setelah adunan sekata, asingkan adunan ke dalam enam mangkuk yang berlainan / mengikut bilangan warna yang diingini. Campurkan pewarna ke dalam adunan yang telah diasingkan mengikut warna masing-masing. Gaul hingga warna rata.
  5. Setelah habis menggaul untuk semua warna, masukkan adunan ke dalam loyang untuk dibakar.
  6.  Adunan hendaklah dibakar selama 15 minit pada suhu 140°c. Apabila adunan telah masak, sejukkan terlebih dahulu.
  7.  Buttercream perlu dipukul sehingga kembang sebelum disalut pada kek. Antara lapisan kek perlu disapu sedikit buttercream supaya lapisan kek melekat antara satu sama lain.(I'm adding some blueberry jam)
  8.  Salut kek yang telah dilapis antara satu sama lain tadi, hingga rata dan hias mengikut kreativiti anda.




*the other reason why I pick this recipe because I'm having trouble to sifting ordinary wheat flour with baking powder and soda bicarbonate. 
Takut bila bako tu,kembung pecah tgh. So far,the best recipe is this one!!
*sometimes it's not because of oven temperature but more to quality of flour itself.
